MemoryMemory is like the tide,
It swells and ebbs;
It's free and wide,
Yet ridden with dregs.

At times it's calm—
Soothing and sweet;
Like a tender balm,
A gentle beat.

It's violent, too—
Coarse and bitter;
Like a vicious coup,
A cruel winter.

In it, I do bask,
Adrift in my mind;
I need only ask
To be lost in time.

What's Not Being SaidI heard you sigh
but at the time
I didn't say a word;

I saw you cry
but didn't know
your voice was so unheard.

I felt you break
but truly thought
I shouldn't be around;

For my own sake
I should have fought
to keep your feelings sound.

Please, listen to what's not being said.

ShynessEverybody knows that feeling
Looking at somebody half dreaming
Thinking about what it would be like
If the two of you were alike

We don't want to face rejection
Fearing that we worsen our self reflection
When we talk to them all we can do is stutter

Sometimes we just need a little courage
Everybody has courage no matter what their age

So whenever you're feeling shy
Don't just stand there and sigh
Remember that just 20 seconds is enough
Even if it's all just bluff

Believe in yourself
Cause when it comes to love
You are the only person that could beat yourself

Wish for PrivacyI live behind a locked door,
And no one has the key.
It has been years, maybe more
Since someone talked to me.
The solitude was nice at first,
The quiet let me think.
But soon it took a turn for worse—
Now all I do is blink.
So be careful, my dear friends,
When you wish for privacy.
Count to 5 when patience bends
Or you'll end up just like me.

ContinueWhen the world strikes you down,
Continue.
When your smile becomes a frown,
Continue.
When you stumble and fall,
Continue.
When you wager and lose all,
Continue.
When the world laughs at you,
Continue.
When many becomes few,
Continue.

There's nothing else to do except...
Continue.

Sudden CrueltySudden Cruelty:

He is a God, or so he believes
He judges others and puts them into stereotypes
Asian? No life! Hispanic? Brainless!

He thinks he has control over his world
A delusion which he has never been able to break
Me? I'm better than them, I'm smarter...

He sits alone in his room, ignoring the emptiness
He sits in front of his computer and passes judgement
Lol, you're wrong. You're stupid. Everything is stupid!

He laughs and smiles at his own cruelty;
He feels powerful and most certainly superior to all
But in the end, it's just a fantasy isn't it?

He curls up in his bed, thinking about tomorrow
Here, he's a king, but out

I Feel FreeWhen I look into your eyes,
I see experience.
When I hold your hands,
I know strength.
When I touch your skin,
I sense comfort.
When I listen to your heart,
I hear power.
When I speak your name,
I find pleasure.
When I kiss your lips,
I feel free.

Bringer of the NightBringer of the Night:

Born from the kiss of a goddess
And drenched in the cauldron of lies.
He emerged as a being of entropy
Bearing the mark of flies...

His wings were made from crow-like feathers
Black as the dust of the night.
His fangs were laden with horrid infection
Made from the stone of blight.

A single bite, was poison enough
And soon they began to change...
The children loved by the lady in white
Soon they became deranged.

Powerful beings of might and magic
They soared through the moonlit sky!
They flew amongst the twinkling stars
But their gift was a burning lie...

My Masquerade~My Masquerade~

For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.

I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.

My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.

I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.

Dare I take these masks off – no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.

False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

Keep on DreamingThere are dreams in this world
Dreams of anything and everyone

Dreams are more than we believe
More than we actually dream

Dreams inspire
With a bit of faith
Dreams can become reality

Dream on, keep dreaming
You never know where those dreams may go.

Dreams change the world
Dreams can do anything

Dreams created the world
As everything that ever is, or was,
Began with a dream.

I Am So DisturbedI Am So Disturbed:

How long will it burn me,
In darkness cloaked.
Raped by a voice,
Of death it spoke.

The ceiling revolves with words of sorrow,
Draped on the walls, they are creatures hollow.
Screaming and crying, the death we seek,
The eyes that stare, when I fall asleep.

Voiceless whispers and empty sound,
The pattern of drool, that stains the ground.
Endlessly scratching at walls and eyes,
I stare at reflections that breathe to die.

The darkened shadows that seem to stain,
The constant sound of a pouring rain.
Wherever I go, the eyes that lead,
Within me planting a dirty seed.

Again and again I am twisted by sound,

Sick and TiredSick and Tired:

I'm sick and tired of trying hard
I'm tired of slaving away.
I'm tired of doing everything
And just living day to day...

I'm tired of being a person
I'm tired of being me.
What happened to the past
Did I lose it out at sea?

I think I'm simply frustrated
These words I cannot string.
Is this the end of my poetry
Or the revival of a king?

I Am Scared"I Am Scared"

The hardest thing anyone can say

Is admitting when they are afraid

Facing one's self even for the brave

Can be the toughest task on any day

There's a whole wide world waiting to explore

If you could only step beyond your hardwood doors

I admit sometimes that I am scared

Of the uncertainty waiting out there

If you reach down deep and discover the true

Meanings of paranoia it might just scare you

I'm afraid of failure, rejection, denial

I'm scared of walking aimlessly for miles

All my dreams always seem to shatter

It's difficult to conjure new dreams that matter

But everyday that passes us by

Means another chance I

KissKnees bend, hands shake,
Lips part, hearts break,
Blood pumps, thoughts fly,
Bodies melt, worries die,
Heads swim, fingers touch,
Tongues rub, clothes bunch.

Butterflies, adrenaline,
Testosterone and estrogen,
We fit like a glove, so...

Or at least that's what I remember being told

And as the morning unfolded I saw within view
